Today we left Manatee Springs and headed to St. Joesoph Peninsula State Park and we were once again greeted by amazing white sandy beaches and good surf. Harsh weather in the Gulf meant the currents in the water were pretty strong but they made for some fun fighting against the waves. After wearing ourselves out fighting the currents and waves Erin decided to stay on the beach and get some sun. This is where she met Caroline the Crab:
It is crowded here but for good reason, the beach is amazing and the facilities and everything are great too. I just can't understand the large families who are trying to tent camp here in this 95+ heat. Erin also made another friend near our camp site, Martin the Mouse:
We plan to leave as late as possible tomorrow to soak up as much beach as possible. We are still not sure where we will be staying tomorrow night.
