Celine came to New Orleans on business with some colleagues, so Erin did the best thing a Louisianan could do....Take them into a swamp! She had been threatening to take me on a swamp tour for a while now. I grew up in Florida, why did I need to take a tour of a swamp? Turns out the tour is pretty good! We saw lots of alligators, apparently they really like marshmallows and the tour guides can get them to easily jump out of the water for them. It was a nice ride through the swamp. Something I didn't quite expect was how few mosquitoes there were. Apparently the moving water in combination with the amount of dragonflies in the swamp made for very few mosquitoes. Where the standing water in the city areas are great for them, so that was interesting.
